This site is My baby and I will nurture it until it grows healthy and strong. Sometimes I get discouraged by the lack of interest here but I know that with anything new it takes time to grow and become purposeful. I have all the time in the world to devote to this pet project of Mine, promoting the talent of others. This site needs you and your talent.
What is talent? The dictionary describes it as
While I’m working hard to boost the popularity of this site I’m also working hard to brand it on social networks. Daily, on Facebook through our fan page https://www.facebook.com/spotlightontalent I post tips for writers, contests, artwork and videos of amazing talent. To check us out on Facebook either click the link above or the facebook like box in the right hand side bar. This site and our social networking pages are designed SIMPLY to provide a platform for aspiring and established talent to promote themselves and gain valuable information that can be critical to their careers.
This site isn’t JUST about interviewing and promoting hot talent but also to provide a place that offers a range of resources that can assist talents of every type. You will notice the resource guide area at the top of the page and in the left hand side bar. Just as I am constantly seeking talent I am also seeking businesses and resources to add to the resource guide. So Email and tell me about your business and lets get you added.
Here’s just a few examples of the type things shared through our facebook page. I would hate for you to miss out on great talent or an opportunity to get your own work out there.

A few of the guidelines for submissions are
Guidelines for a Chicken Soup for the Soul story
1. Tell an exciting, heartwarming or funny story about something that has happened to you or someone you know. Your story should be written in the first person and should be about yourself or someone close to you.
2. Tell your story in a way that will make the reader cry, laugh, get goose bumps or say “Wow!”
3. The story should start “in the action” and draw in the reader. Do not start your story with an introduction about what you are going to say, or end with a concluding paragraph about what you just said.
4. Don’t be afraid to speak from the heart. Many people tell personal stories for the first time in our books, and they find it to be a cathartic and productive experience. We do let you use a pen name for your story if you do not want to use your real name.
5. Don’t try fancy moves with tenses. Writing in the present tense about something that happened in the past rarely works.
5. Keep your story to 1200 words or less. Tighten, tighten, tighten!
6. Your story must be true. No fiction, no creative writing.

Happy new year you guys. I took the holiday off to celebrate and spend time with family and friends and now I’m back and ready to devote My time and energy to this website. I’ve lined up interviews with a beautiful model who constantly inspires Me with her concepts and execution of them, a male model who work you have seen on multiple memes and a burgeoning male model from New york. I have My eye on two photographers I want to interview and showcase right away as well.
I have put it out there for over a month that I am seeking talent to promote and showcase as well as websites and businesses to add to the resource area. While I’m building this site I want to not seem to favor any of My friends or people I know. I really want this site to be a cornucopia of amazing talent. I want this to be a site for everyone, whether they have a huge fan base or not, to show what they have.
Until I start getting more submissions in I will start uploading beautiful photos and videos I find around the net. I really hope to find some chefs to showcase too. I think being able to bring food to life is a wonderful talent to have yet chefs don’t get enough credit.
Send those submissions in I’d love to see what you have submit at firstname.lastname@example.org tweet Me links @talentpromo410 and post up on our facebook fan page at www.facebook.com/spotlightontalent Check back tomorrow to see what I’ve found on the web to share with you.
Oh yea I added some items to the resource pages and will be adding more this week. I’m back and I will be updating and upgrading the site regularly, I cant wait to see what you got.
