I told ya’ll during the summer that I had fallen in love with the youth poets of Dew More Baltimore when I got the chance to witness them performing an open mic and then attended one of their scripted productions. I was ecstatic to find out they would be performing at the Baltimore Book Festival
I made sure to get there early and was glad I did, the youth did a hour of spoken word and poetry performances before sitting down to have a panel discussion and answer questions from the crowd. They were so articulate and knowledgeable. I’m in the process of loading the videos to My youtube page. Below you get a treat, the first one that I had a chance to upload is how they started out the show and this young man will leave you with chills.
Everyone has something that makes them special. I love seeing people shine from the inside when doing what they do best. There are people who tell you your dreams are impossible, that the SOUND ridiculous. There are some that will tell you that because something has never been done before it CAN’T be done. BUT THAT ISN’T TRUE. Nothing is impossible especially letting the light shine from within you.
Don’t let anyone steal your shine or keep you from chasing your dreams.

This site is My baby and I will nurture it until it grows healthy and strong. Sometimes I get discouraged by the lack of interest here but I know that with anything new it takes time to grow and become purposeful. I have all the time in the world to devote to this pet project of Mine, promoting the talent of others. This site needs you and your talent.
What is talent? The dictionary describes it as
You guys know I love nothing more than to showcase hot talent and this opportunity makes Me feel extra good because back when i was just starting out D.J. Rokkstarr took a chance at showcasing My talent on his radio station. It feels good to have a platform to share that love back with him. I’ve watched him over the years continue to reinvent, brand and market himself like no other D.J. in the Baltimore area. But honestly to call him a D.J. is almost an insult…he is so much more. Read on to find out more about him
City/State: Baltimore, MD
Company: RedZone Studio/True Illusion Media
1. You seem to be a Jack of off media trades, How did you get started in the business?
At age 14, I began my journey into the music industry as a local DJ spinning at high school parties throughout Baltimore city and county. I ventured in to music production at 17, creating music for likeminded artists. My love for music grew exponentially as I expanded my knowledge into the business side of the industry and launched my first entertainment company called BlackWax Entertainment.
2. You have a background in radio, what stations were you affiliated and what type shows were you on?
I’ve worked with many local stations such as 92Q, 93.9 WKYS, WPB Radio as wells owning an internet station of my own called X105.1 Radio.
3. What made you branch out on your own and start Redzone Studio?
From the time I began making my own mixtape to promote my music, other artists and DJs became very interested in where my custom materials came from. I then brought supply to the demand and created an avenue where they can boost their image in the local market and I could make money in the process.

So it’s no big secret that I love to write, I’ve been writing longer than I remember, blogging for almost 8 years and writing for publications for two years now. I love that My pen gives Me a way to express all the things tumbling around in My head and I never get enough of the fact that people actually enjoy reading it,
It all started with notebook after notebook full of journals, poetry and half finished stories I’ve started. Up until 2008 or so I had never even finished one of the stories or books I’d started. A short story for My website gained Me a little popularity and caused Me to write more to appease the few who requested it.
The next thing you know I took a chance and asked a guy starting a brand new magazine if I could write an erotic story for it and he said sure. My first story published in print was “Facebook Fun” in 86 Blvd and since then I have written for each of the subsequent 10 issues and was recently given the honor of interviewing cover model Nyomi Banxxx for them.
My regular byline in 86 Blvd was the springboard for Me contacting other urban magazines and asking for a chance to write for them. To date My writing has been featured in 27 issues of print publications and that includes My monthly column in BADD Magazine. I get a thrill every time a new magazine or website approaches Me to write for them but it also made Me realize it was time to work on My own project as well. I mean I love creating content for others but we all know its much better to be on the receiving end of the residual income.
Yesterday morning I got my lazy butt to the computer and said it’s time. Honestly, I’m now a month behind the deadline I scheduled last year. My first compilation of erotic stories were supposed to be ready by Valentine’s Day but I took a month to rest. I went through My stories and picked the first twelve I’d like to publish in a book of short stories. I started formatting but it was getting overwhelming so I took a break. Tomorrow I will be right back at it
During this time while I’m focusing on My writing I’ve been checking out all types of websites, writing groups etc that can benefit ANY writer, not just a writer of erotic stories. I’ve found some great articles and websites. One of the websites I’ve fallen in love with is Writers Life. I won’t bog this blog post down with links but I’ve linked some of the most recent articles I’ve read as well as a *FREE writers toolkit below.
I will be sure to add this site to the resource area for writers I have here on this site at https://sapphirespotlightontalent.com/resource-guide/resources-for-poets-writers/

I’m really so excited about the upcoming developments to this site. I spent today scouring the net for talent to share with you as well as writing interview questions for a few talented individual like the beautiful model featured above.
Her name is Gazelle Powers and I’m proud to say I’ve had the pleasure of actually meeting this beauty. Her concepts have continued to amaze Me since our chance meeting at a shoot last year. She is not the social butterfly some models are so not as many people have discovered this beauty as should have and I’m happy to say that she will be shining here on this site. Check her out on facebook https://www.facebook.com/GazellePowers79https://www.facebook.com/GazellePowers79
As I surfed the internet today I came across some really great videos but none of them stood out to Me like the one below. I love to see kids talent nurtured at such a young age.
Happy new year you guys. I took the holiday off to celebrate and spend time with family and friends and now I’m back and ready to devote My time and energy to this website. I’ve lined up interviews with a beautiful model who constantly inspires Me with her concepts and execution of them, a male model who work you have seen on multiple memes and a burgeoning male model from New york. I have My eye on two photographers I want to interview and showcase right away as well.
I have put it out there for over a month that I am seeking talent to promote and showcase as well as websites and businesses to add to the resource area. While I’m building this site I want to not seem to favor any of My friends or people I know. I really want this site to be a cornucopia of amazing talent. I want this to be a site for everyone, whether they have a huge fan base or not, to show what they have.
Until I start getting more submissions in I will start uploading beautiful photos and videos I find around the net. I really hope to find some chefs to showcase too. I think being able to bring food to life is a wonderful talent to have yet chefs don’t get enough credit.
